I added some of those internet-controlled outlets to automate my home automation system. But earlier this week I replaced the router and now the outlets won’t connect. Oops. Now to figure out how to reprogram them or I will have to continue with darkness and hallway lights...

Did you turn them off and back on again?
FWIW, if they're wireless and you changed the wireless access point, configuring the WAP to use the same SSID and password as before should work.

I figured that that would probably do it, but I changed the SSID. Maybe I should just put it back, something that will also make the extender work again...
